Fun off the Ship
My family has two darling pets, which are a huge consideration for us; Rover.com has been a wonderful resource for us. Miss Nancy is our primary sitter for the dog, and a neighbor checks in on the cat. Rover has some anxiety calming measures, notes, and records from previous stays with all your pet's sitters, and a chat feature that Miss Nancy sends cute pictures of our Darling Libby.
Manhattan Cruise Ship Terminal.
Truly a well-run and efficient setup, with the whole team working together, from parking and porters to Norwegian desk agents and the ship's Crew. The only worry I ever have is some crazy traffic snafu that causes us not to arrive on time to the terminal to process on board. You should be forewarned that the easiest parking is Pier 92/94 and 90, which is outside, and you will be paying before you park your car by credit card 40$ a night 400$ 11 to 14 night stays. https://nycruise.com/manhattan-terminal/parking/ very nice people. You will be parking right next to the US Intrepid.
Example of how close you are to the boat when you park.
Enjoy your departure
Use the time before you depart to explore the boat. Get a few dinner reservations if you didn't already.
Download the Norwegian app so you can stay updated on ship activities or low-tech take a picture of the ship's daily bulletin. Make sure you find a comfortable place to watch your departure from Manhattan truly iconic.
Fun off the ship
Be prepared but leave room for spontaneity. Take a look at the tour offerings on the boat. They do offer the security of making sure you arrive back on the ship in plenty of time for debarkation. It is certainly easy to explore on your own. Trip Advisor and https://www.destinationcanada.com/en/for-glowing-hearts are wonderful resources we have used to find some yummy tours, Don't forget to take the time to understand what requirements there are to get off the boat. You will need to register with https://www.canada.ca/en/border-services-agency/services/arrivecan.html
I look forward to Exploring and letting my Happiness Evolve.
I do plan on sharing more of my adventure on the Norwegian Joy,
